The BBQ & Brewfest is an annual celebration in support of the Deer River Chamber of Commerce. This fundraiser is open to all ages and is your chance to experience great food, great homebrew beer, libations, and music at an outdoor venue, reminding us what great events the Northland has to offer. Join us on Friday and Saturday, July 15th and 16th, 2022 for a BBQ competition and homebrew sampling while enjoying live music.

Friday evening there will be a chicken wing contest held in the Outpost Bar & Grill. Click here for details on how to enjoy all types of smoked chicken wings.

Saturday's festival showcases 10 to 15 competing BBQ teams that prepare free samples* for attendees, included with event admission ticket.

Event admission also includes homebrew sampling*. Typically, 14 to 18 homebrewers participate, with an overall offering of 50 to 85 unique craft beers, ciders, or meads. The BBQ & Brew Fest is a great opportunity for brewers to fine tune their brewing skills and showcase their creations to the community.

There will be a bean bag tournament Saturday evening, starting at 4:30 PM and going until the winners are crowned.

Directions: Wayside Park is located in Deer River, Minnesota next to the White Oak Inn & Suites. You can easily access the park from US Highway 2. Free event parking is available as shown on the site map.

What to bring: Lawn chairs, sun protection, water, etc. This event will occur rain or shine, so dress for an afternoon of outdoor fun.

What not to bring: Coolers and adult beverages. The Deer River BBQ & Brew Fest is a fundraising event in support of the Deer River Chamber of Commerce with complimentary food and beer. If you wish to eat or drink something not available at the festival, there are other options available for purchase from the Outpost Bar & Grill.
